WE ARE delighted to confirm that the wonderful people at the Fun Factory in Teddington are providing balloons for our event on Christmas Day, when we are going to provide an unforgettable dinner for 50 of Richmond borough’s care leavers.
You can still get involved with our project by contributing a present to one of our care leavers. You can do that by clicking here and buying a gift from our present list or click here to find out more.
If you’d like to find out more about the Richmond Christmas Dinner watch this video below which features the inspiration behind our project, the poet Lemn Sissay.
The lovely people at River Island have become the latest company to join with us to make a real difference to up to 50 care leavers this Christmas.
The company, which has more than 60 years of fashion retailing experience, has been extraordinarily generous by giving us five £50 vouchers for our guests.
On Christmas Day this year, inspired by the poet and care leaver himself, Lemn Sissay, we will be taking up to 50 care leavers to a secret location in Richmond Borough for a Christmas Day Dinner they will never forget.
So much of the project is in place with the community rallying together to provide everything from turkey to taxis and chefs to Christmas Trees but the last push we are having is on Christmas presents so the the news from River Island is so timely.
Anyone can provide a gift for one of our guests and while we welcome wholeheartedly the vouchers worth £250 we have gifts for every pocket. So click here and join with River Island to support the Christmas Day Dinner in Richmond.

We wanted to say a big thank you to Positive, Richmond’s best (we’re biased!) digital marketing agency. Responding to a call to support on Facebook, they’ve come up trumps for us, designing and printing the party invite for our young guests plus flyers to help us spread the word. They’ll also be providing the huge real Christmas tree for the day (but not this site or the social media as they were already up and running by our volunteers!)
Our lovely new friends at Crosbies Foods, are kindly making us 48 of their signature Crosbies Chocolate Brownies. Made with a 73% Cocoa solid Belgian organic chocolate, their brownies contain more than 40% pure dark chocolate and make a fabulous dessert. Simply served warm with some really good vanilla ice cream and fresh red berries – absolute pudding perfection!
Crosbies is a family company that specialises in the highest quality hand made produce.
They bake from scratch using the best quality fresh natural ingredients. Local free range eggs, real butter, British flour & sugars and Belgian Chocolate. No artificial colours, preservatives or any other nonsense, just great tasting food made with care and skill.
We’ve tried them, and our guests are going to be over the moon. Crosbies brownies are also available as fab Christmas presents by mail-order. Beautifully presented too! Thank you! x

Thank you so much. Your kindness is overwhelming.
Our very own Sian Thomas took the hot seat for an interview with the Radio Jackie team this week. It will be played out over the next two months. We’re incredibly grateful to Lucy and Susan for all their help in spreading the Christmas Day Dinner message. We’ll all be glued to the radio now.

We would love to express our huge thanks to @coopUK who have kindly agreed to donate fabulous food hampers to Richmond care leavers. We really appreciate it and we know this gesture will be valued by all of our guests who will be able to enjoy fully stocked cupboards after Christmas. x
